Becca & Alex’s Romantic Villa Siena Wedding

She stood in the the doorway, the iron arch high above her head creating an illusion of a stained glass window in a cathedral as her angelic veil cascaded down her dress. Tears had already begun to glass over her eyes as she stepped into the sunlight with an ethereal glow illuminating her white gown. She held tightly to her flowers as her lip began to quiver, simply because she could finally see him. His back was turned, though he could feel her stepping closer, his heart beating faster with excitement in time with the clicking of her heels on the pavement. This was it. Their wedding day was here. The biggest day of their lives so far, and this was the moment that they knew they will remember until they take their last breaths in this life. The air was buzzing between them, the electric longing to see one another for the first and only time like this was magnetic. He finally flipped around to see his bride, closing his eyes and dropping his head in disbelief that she was his forever. She smiled through her tears, and they held each other so close, inhaling the ecstatic joy of realizing that in mere minutes they would become husband and wife. And as slowly as time seemed to pass in those few moments, they simultaneously blinked and it was over. God bless photographs.

Becca and Alex are so ~~one~~ two of a kind, and I don’t think I’ll ever wrap my head around the fact that such special humans chose me to be a part of their wedding experience! It was truly an honor. From the moment we met so long ago to the last hug I gave them as I left their reception, they have done nothing but enforce my love for capturing this season in my couples’ lives. And that’s something to be thankful for. Their bridal party and families were so incredibly welcoming, (even when I mixed up Hanna and Kelsey and million times, love you sweet bridesmaids) I honestly was so sad to leave! Everyone was so helpful and kind, and genuinely there to serve and stand by Becca and Alex from that day and for the rest of their lives. And aside from these beautiful people were such gorgeous details, burgundy with touches of greenery and blush that gave me all the romantic, February feels! It was so classically timeless, and it felt like we were strolling through a garden in Italy for their bridal portraits. It really was the perfect day, originally forecasted to rain with not a single drop falling from above. To Mr. and Mrs. May, I’m so thankful I got to be a part of your family, even if just for a few hours. I hope you realize how loved and supported your marriage is, and how much you two deserve all the happiness in the world. Never forget the moments before and after you said your vows, and the beauty that surrounds your relationship constantly. Most importantly, never take for granted that you’ve found each other and you’ll always have each other to have and to hold, for the rest of your lives, come what May.
