She pointed to a small box sitting on the chair, wrapped perfectly with a cream ribbon. The girls were dressed in cotton and lace robes, fresh out of hair and makeup, the smell of perfume and hairspray filling the room. Their curls framed their smiling faces, and each wore a delicate gold bracelet adorned with iridescent white gems – a gift from the bride. “That’s for you!” she giggled excitedly, and my eyes grew wide with surprise. I carefully opened the little box, and pulled open the velvet case inside. And there I saw the bracelet, the same one that every girl in her bridal party wore. The ladies who meant so much to her, that they would stand next to her at the altar as she said her vows. Then, Meghan held up her wrist, revealing that she too was wearing the same bracelet. My heart skipped as I gasped, and a lump immediately formed in my throat. I couldn’t believe it! I wrapped her in the biggest hug, still so astonished at the sweetest gesture. I slipped it on and felt like I was part of such a special group of women who were able to be a part of this incredible day for Meghan and Trent. I wore it the entire day right next to my watch, smiling every time I caught a glimpse of it. And every time I wear it (which will be basically every day, I’m obsessed), I’ll think of Meghan and Trent. I’ll think of this day and how unbelievably kind these two are, and how completely blessed I am to have been there to witness their union. How lucky am I??
Meghan and Trent’s wedding was not only overflowing with so much warmth and intimate moments, but it was so incredibly beautiful! Meghan’s vision came to life so classically with timeless neutrals, flowing dresses, and fluffy white flowers. Not to mention the succulents and eucalyptus leaves that adorned their beautiful acrylic signage and tables so delicately, adding the perfect touch of romance to the day. Meghan and I have such similar styles, so I was squealing at every detail I captured, especially her dainty lace sleeves and ethereal veil. The traditional black suites popped so stunningly against the soft color palette, and my eyes were so happy the whole day! But amidst all the beauty, nothing stood out more than the way these two were together. It’s so easy to put on a show in front of everyone and get caught up in the theatrics of a wedding, but no one really saw what my eyes did when these two were alone, and that’s where the real warmth of their love sparked. They spoke to each other so kindly, held each other so sweetly, and I even caught tears escaping her eyes while they danced on the middle of the crowded floor as if no one else was around. “But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own. And in your eyes you’re holding mine…” I couldn’t help but smile. Meghan and Trent, you two will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m so elated that I got to start my 2019 with you. You deserve the world and I honestly can’t wait to see what your future holds! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Marsh, here’s to many more late nights filled with donuts and dancing, because the smallest things hold the most magic!
