Alyssa & Josh’s Destination Desert Engagement

They had traveled all the way from Florida to capture these photos in the beautiful desert, and it did not disappoint. The soft light transformed the mountains behind them to a purplish magenta, and ground was blanketed in greenery that mimicked her long, flowing gown. It was just one small part of an exciting weekend in Arizona celebrating their engagement, and I know it’s a time that neither Alyssa or Josh will ever forget. It was magic. The golden sunset, the billowing clouds in the distance, and the quiet stillness of the landscape was breath-taking. As we walked over the green grass (watching our steps for cholla, of course), the smell of Raintree filled our noses while we laughed, Alyssa and I remembering old times. We had actually met in a beginning photography class years ago, and our love of photography has taken us to Disneyland, Laguna Beach, and now the desert through our lenses together. I feel so incredibly blessed to have captured Alyssa’s graduation and now engagement photos; what a privilege and such special memories I’ll keep close forever! Alyssa and Josh, I’m so incredibly happy for you! I wish you all the best for your dream Hawaii wedding, and even more so for your marriage. I know it will be beautiful, just like you, and just like this day. Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Tidwell!
