Bailee & Jake’s Sunlit Saguaro Lake Engagement

It was two o’clock in the morning as they arrived home after a night of dancing, and he decided that he just couldn’t wait any longer. He found the small box that he had been hiding for what felt like centuries, and stepped into the night air and onto the terrace. She met him, a bit confused as to why they were outside, not the least bit suspicious of what what about to happen next. Little did she know, that the next time she walked back inside, her life would be completely changed. Jake then got down on one knee as she gasped in astonishment, pouring out exactly what he was feeling for her in that moment, and thousands of moments leading up to this. “If you say yes, we can cross this threshold and start our new life together…” The simple significance of his words left butterflies in her stomach, and she couldn’t say yes fast enough. It was the perfect surprise, and since they’ve stepped inside that door, their lives have changed for the better.

Bailee & Jake’s love is one that so many long for, and it’s one that brings a smile to my face when I remember their engagement session. We explored around the desert in some of the most beautiful Arizona light I have ever seen, the scenery blooming in green as Spring is fast approaching. It was so wonderfully quiet, except for the sounds of horse tails swishing and the river rocks adjusting beneath our feet. He twirled her in her tulle dress in front of a picturesque mountain scape, and she resembled a delicate DeGas ballerina in the middle of the Southwest.
