“Where you go, I’ll go. Where you stay, I’ll stay.”
We walked straight into the heart of the downpour, clinging to our umbrellas as the rain pounded against the clear plastic keeping our heads dry. Her dress was drenched, his suit was soaked, and still, they smiled. Nothing could take away from the pure joy of this moment, the moment they first saw each other on their wedding day. The clouds billowed around the mountain in a foggy mist, and all that could be heard was the pitter patter of raindrops amidst their laughter. They held each other so tightly, their umbrellas overlapping, speaking softly and drinking in the reality that they were about to be husband and wife. They were overwhelmed with a peace that passes understanding in the middle of the soggy desert, and it was absolutely beautiful to witness. I am so inspired by Ali & Chris!
This wedding day was a whirlwind, and one of my absolute favorites despite any weather craziness. Beautiful details aside, the purest joy that surrounded this day left my heart overflowing by the time I reluctantly said goodbye. Every person involved was so helpful and so sweet, and it made me so very thankful to have been a part of this inner circle. What a privilege! Not to mention, Ali & Chris are willing to go the extra mile and go adventuring in the name of capturing magic. They literally climbed a mountain during the rainiest part of the day because it meant they would have epic wedding pictures, and that’s the kind of attitude that gives me life! And the sun made its appearance at the most perfect time, giving us the chance to capture the glowing golden hour portraits of my dreams. Ali & Chris, I will never forget this day, in the absolute best way possible. I know your marriage is going to thrive in every sense of the word, and you were simply made for each other. From the moment you took your first breath, you were molded to be what the other needed and longed for without knowing it. And at the risk of sounding SO cliche, I know your love will always “weather” even the darkest storm. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Doran!
