Kaylee & Luke’s Summer Sedona Wedding

The mountains emulated a soft pink glow as the newlyweds stepped through the tall, golden grass. Luke held the sparkling train of his new bride’s dress as she carefully navigated over rocks in her glittery heels. It was so incredibly quiet, aside from the muffled sound of music and guests laughing behind a wall of trees. Kaylee’s veil floated in the breeze behind her, catching refractions of light with a luminance almost as beautiful as she was. They couldn’t help but smile, stealing glances as they held each other so tight in the Arizona sunset. They were married. And these sweet moments alone weren’t the last they shared on their wedding day. Their reception was book-ended by more moments together with no one else around, and I can’t think of anything more romantic on one of the happiest days of their lives. After everyone had cleared the dance floor, they shared on last song together under the Sedona stars and twinkling lights above. They swayed and embraced on the empty dance floor, and it was absolutely breathtaking!

Kaylee and Luke’s wedding was one that I’ll never forget, one that brings a smile to my face whenever I think of the sweetest people who surrounded us this day. I was admittedly a little nervous, as I hadn’t met Kaylee and Luke before their big day because they both live out of town. And that was a new experience for me, but it honestly felt as if I’d known them personally for the longest time! They shared a warmth that was so genuine, as did their entire wedding party and families. Not to mention the incredibly gorgeous Sedona-rust-colored florals mixed with a soft steel blue that mimicked the colorful sunset that evening. And her dress!! The sparkles. I just…almost fell over when I saw it on her! It was the sweetest day filled with so many happy tears, and I couldn’t be more excited for these two. Kaylee and Luke, like the sand from different beaches you combined during your ceremony, you two are finally one. No more long distance. No more waiting to wear those wedding bands. Only each other, forever. Always take time to dance alone like you did under the stars this night, drowning out the world as if no one else exists. I can’t wait to see where marriage takes you, congratulations friends!
