He just couldn’t stop looking at her. They stood facing each other, the willow branches swaying back and forth all around as the sun peeked through, creating a kaleidoscope of light with every movement. As much as he wanted to hold her close and never let go, he simply had to step back and take a look at her. He took in her long dark hair, blue eyes, and delicate lace-sleeved gown with his hand covering his mouth. Even if his hand wasn’t concealing them, his lips couldn’t seem to articulate any other words other than, “Wow.” Then he pulled her back in tight and they hugged as they both wiped tears from their eyes. He soon broke away again to take her in, saying, “I can’t stop looking at you!” She felt the exact same way, and they alternated between embracing and turning around for one another, while simultaneously laughing and wiping tears. And just when Kara and John’s sweet moments together couldn’t get any better, their little boy woke up from his nap and came running over. The three of them giggled, as it was just the beginning of their perfect day.
Kara and John are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and their true character is amplified when they’re together. They are truly the best versions of themselves when they’re around the other. Xander is so lucky to have the amazing parents he does, and I was so lucky to capture this incredible day. Congratulations to this wonderful family of three, who deserve all the happiness in the world. May you always look at each other the way you did on your wedding day!
