Diliana & Zack’s DC Ranch Wedding

The pair walked slowly down the walkway, arm in arm, the sunlight glowing behind them. She held onto him tightly, and as she did, his fingers interlaced with hers. Their smiles were beaming with every step they took, looking at each other every now and then without saying a word. Because no words were needed as Zack escorted his bride’s abuela down the aisle. Their faces said it all, pure pride and joy to come together for this incredible occasion. She speaks only Spanish and he speaks only English, but language proved to create no barrier in the joining of these two sweet families. It was a moment I’ll never forget, and I’m so grateful to have captured it so the beautiful bride could experience it too. To get to be her “eyes” for these beautiful memories is a privilege that I don’t take lightly, and I will never take it for granted. How lucky am I??

Diliana and Zack’s wedding day was full of romance, happy tears, and so much beauty. From the aesthetics of dusty rose and navy details with flowers blooming around every corner and on every table, to the way these two held each other as the golden sun dipped behind the mountains, my heart was so full. These two love to travel the world together (you have to read their engagement story here), and their escort cards were personalized luggage tags for their guests! So unique and special. The wedding party was stunning and so warm, and because of them my cheeks were pretty sore by the end of the day, in the best way! We even had a fake first look with one of the groomsmen dressed in Diliana’s bridal robe, tricking Zack into thinking it was his beautiful bride tapping him on the shoulder! I have never laughed so hard at a wedding! But in all seriousness, the day went off without a hitch and it was such a joy to witness the union of these incredible people. And as the lights twinkled above them at the reception, their two families filled the dance floor, dancing together to songs in Spanish and English, truly embodying the joining of two cultures. Diliana and Zack, I’m so incredibly happy for you, and I never wanted this day to end. I hope your new world travels as husband and wife bring so many new and exciting adventures, though marriage will surely be your most exciting adventure yet. Felicidades Mr. and Mrs. Rall!
