Leigh and Peter’s Spring Desert Engagement Session

It was New Year’s Eve, with a beautiful year of memories behind them, and an endless amount ahead. They were on the couch in comfortable clothes, ending the year with intimate conversation and the pure contentment of being in each other’s company. Rather than a loud and sparkling night out to ring in 2022, they stayed indoors due to Leigh being sick. But oh, little did she know, there would still be sparkle…

Peter surprised her with a poem he had written himself consisting of 16 sweet lines, each coordinating with a photo of them together. By them time she read the last line asking her to be his wife, he was down on one knee. She gasped as her heart raced in the best way, dreaming of what not only the next year would bring, but the many years to come. It was a moment they will never forget, an enchanting memory that ignited a spark of many more to come, each burning brighter than the last.

It made perfect sense that these two were drawn to the glowing desert scenery for their engagement session; she was born here, and he came from Ohio and loved everything about the desert (her most of all). And Spring among the chollas and pink Superstition Mountains didn’t disappoint! Gorgeous backdrop aside, Leigh and Peter were everything a photographer could ever dream of capturing! They were so natural in each other’s arms, their body language and smiles so full of elation when together. It was so special to witness. They truly are better together than apart, and what a blessing that they found each other when just a slight change of plans or timing could have prevented their beautiful relationship from beginning! God is so good. Leigh and Peter, I can’t wait to celebrate your big day, and I know this year is going to be filled with so much excitement. I’m so happy for you, the best is yet to come!
