It was a moment that had been two years in the making. She squeezed her dad’s arm as they walked down the steps and across the lawn. Grace had taken these familiar steps toward Ryan two years ago, with a few close friends surrounding them, their families witnessing in a video call from their computers. The pandemic had changed their plans, and their original big wedding turned into a small backyard gathering that was absolutely beautiful and intimate. But after that momentous day, that longing for their families to be present was still stinging, and they knew they eventually wanted a celebration surrounded by the ones who raised them. So time passed, they were blessed with an angelic baby girl, and they set the date for a vow renewal. Fast forward to this perfect day, and Grace was able to walk down the aisle again, but this time, her arm linked with her dad. Next to Ryan, her mom beamed holding sweet baby Ida, and his parents stood on the other side of him smiling so big. It was everything they hoped for and more.
Grace and Ryan’s vow renewal was packed with so many incredible moments, surrounded by the kindest, most genuine people. It was truly one of those days where your cheeks start to get sore from smiling, and there was so much love poured into every aspect of the day. Not to mention, their tiny daughter smiling and cooing and stealing the show, and I simply couldn’t get enough of her! (I actually got to shoot her newborn photos, so this was my dream come true). Grace and Ryan (and Ida), I’m so incredibly elated for you! I’m so blessed to have been a part of the past couple years, capturing some of the most special days of your lives. What an absolute honor. Congratulations again, I can’t wait to see what your future holds!
