Danielle & Michael’s Sage Garden Wedding

He stopped for a moment, blinking through the tears in his eyes. The tree behind them towered above, the trunk wrapped in sparkling lights, the leaves bathed in the yellow glow of the sunset. The desert mountains in the distance contrasted the blue sky almost as beautifully as her dark curls complimented her wedding gown. Their closest loved ones sat a few feet away, enjoying the sunlight on their faces amid the chilly February air. As he spoke his vows, he paused, that sentimental lump in his throat preventing his heartfelt words from escaping. She squeezed his hands tight, then leaned her face in close to his, her hand touching his cheek. He let out a laugh, cleared his throat, then continued telling his wife what was in his heart. This brief, quiet moment whispered by so quickly that I felt so honored to have witnessed it, and I’m sure everyone felt it too: these two have something special, something rare, and it’s beautiful.

Danielle and Michael’s wedding was one of those days that absolutely flew by in the best way. Their sage and natural color palette was so dreamy and timeless, they looked like a magazine couple, and the group that surrounded them was filled with the most wonderful people. Not to mention her 95-year-old grandmother who was jumping up and down on the dance floor…JUMPING! The day was cold and Danielle was perpetually covered in goosebumps, but you would never know from these photos as she killed it the whole day (they both did)! It was just such a wonderful occasion filled with so much love and happiness, and I feel so blessed to have been there! Danielle and Michael, I’m so happy for you and the family you’ve created. I can’t wait to see what your future holds, and I know between the three girls you’re raising and all the life in between, you will still experience many quiet moments with your hands squeezed tight like you did on this day.
