Krista & Andrew’s Cloudy December Engagement

They sat in the car drinking hot coffee, keeping warm from the chilly wind outside. The California ocean was spread in front of them as far as they could see, causing the scene in their windshield to look like a movie screen. He looked at the beautiful water in front of him, then looked at her as the ring he carried burned a hole in his pocket…he simply couldn’t wait any longer. He turned to her as she clutched her coffee cup, unaware that this seemingly simple moment would become one of the most memorable in her life. He told her there was a question he had been wanting to ask her for a long time, and she giggled, “Are you proposing??” She was completely surprised and after so many smiles and butterflies dancing in their stomachs, she said yes! It was there, on the beach in California, where these two would begin a new chapter to their West Coast story. They had met studying abroad, and after he later flew her to LA where he lived, she was sold on living there too. She packed up her life and moved to the sunshine state, never looking back. It was the best decision she had ever made, until she said ‘yes’ to being his wife!

Krista and Andrew will be coming back to Arizona next month to tie the knot, and I could’t be more honored to be capturing this exciting time for them. They are two of the kindest, most down to earth people who are so incredibly perfect for each other. Being around them just makes you smile, and I have to admit my cheeks were a little sore after their session! The exude such warmth and their love for one another is so sweet to witness! I loved taking advantage of this chilly overcast day in the desert, knowing that their wedding would be so soon after our time together. Krista and Andrew, I’m so thrilled to have met you, and I know your wedding will be as beautiful as it is untraditional…and I love that! I can’t wait to see how you make your day your own and to watch your marriage grow through many more car rides to the beach and hot coffees!
