Angie & Ryan’s Pastel Riverside Engagement

The wet pebbles beneath their feet shifted under every step, grating together to create the most satisfying sound as they walked along the water. This place held so many special memories, usually beneath a blanket of hazy clouds, but there was still room for one more incredible memory to be made here. That house on the water in Seattle belonged to Angie’s grandmother who was recently welcomed into Heaven, surely watching down on them as they strolled along the shoreline. Angie collects pebbles, especially from this beach, so her eyes focused on the ground as Ryan took a deep breath as his heart pounded in his chest. Her entire family was there as they were selling the house, and it was pretty heartbreaking to have to say goodbye for a second time to the sweet moments they shared with Grandma here. As she looked down, Ryan moved her in the direction of a large. dark rock that stood out from all the others beneath it. It took her a moment to come to terms with what was engraved on the smooth rock; four short words that would cause her heart to speed up to mimic the beat of his. “Will You Marry Me?” She gasped and laughed and felt every joyful emotion possible in the shortest amount of time as he slipped a glittering rose gold ring on her finger. They kissed and held each other close, creating a joyful memory from a painful one. It was the perfect way to end her time at that house, adding just one more amazing moment to her list of all the sweet ones she holds in her heart.

Angie and Ryan’s glowing engagement session was filled with soft, pastel colors and so many laughs! We walked through more pebbles and river rocks, Ryan holding Angie’s hand and even lifting her up because, heels #girlproblems. I have to add that Angie is a rockstar for hiking through the winding trails in heels, something I don’t think I could have done half as gracefully! She wore two beautiful flowing gowns and he wore two tailored suits, basically every photographers dream! Not to mention the light was transcendent and their smiles were beaming, so you could say I was one happy girl! I just can’t wait for their Sedona wedding next year, and to see his sweet daughter, Rose, dressed in her flower girl outfit! Congratulations you two, capturing your dazzling love was such a privilege, and I can’t wait to see your love grow like the ripples of a pebble tossed into the water…
