Kelsey & Chase’s Fairy Tale Wedding

She walked down the grand staircase, her sparkly shoes peeking out from beneath her delicate white gown. In one hand she held a full bouquet of soft pink and white roses, and the other slid down the cherry wood railing, like a scene out of a romantic movie. A fairy tale in fact. He waited on the terrace, his back turned as she made her way slowly down the landing. Both her hands now gripped her flowers as she neared the bottom, and each step she took seemed to move in slow motion. She stopped a couple feet behind him and took a deep breath as she held back tears. He smiled as he looked straight ahead, anxiously listening for her voice so he could finally, finally see her. “Ok, turn around!” she said with a shaky breath, and he flipped quickly and exhaled with the biggest smile on his face. They held each other so tight, and he stepped back to get another look at his bride, he just couldn’t look at her enough! He held his hands up like a picture frame around her as she giggled, reveling in this beautiful moment. It was their wedding day, and it was already so amazing.

Kelsey & Chase are huge fans of Beauty and the Beast, and it was reflected in so many aspects of their day (and my inner Disney freak was squealing with excitement). From the elegant chateau, rose petals amidst gold accents, and a night under the stars, it was a Parisian dream sprinkled with romance at every turn. There were secret passageways behind bookcases and a white bridge that cut through the garden above a small stream, reflecting the magic of the Disney classic. They even danced to the Beauty and the Beast theme as their first dance, just the sweetest! Kelsey and Chase, I can’t tell you how blessed I feel that you chose me to be a part of your special day, shared with so many wonderful people on a beautiful March Saturday. It was absolutely perfect, and your story is just so beautiful. I can’t wait to watch it unfold, each chapter better than the next. And one day, you’ll share these memories with your grandchildren when your hair is white and it will still be so vivid in your minds, the story of your love. After all, it’s a tale as old as time.
