They walked down their wedding aisle, together, and it was the only time I’ve ever seen this happen…because this wasn’t after the ceremony in a recessional, but before. They walked toward their officiant, and everyone turned to face not just the bride, but the groom too! What a unique way to showcase what these two were all about on their special day: making their own traditions and focusing on their union. They both smiled at their guests, whose number they could count on their fingers, and the mood was so relaxed and joyful! The sun was sinking, reflecting off the skyscraper adjacent to this rooftop, with stringed lights above us, and three stories below. After Katie and Nick’s sweet ceremony, they popped champagne and toasted to everyone who was able to make it, and he even when around and poured everyone’s glasses. It was so intimate, so love-centered, and so different from a typical wedding day. And I adored every second. Katy and Nicolas, I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been a part of your perfect elopement, and I’m so excited for you two to start your new life together (in your new house)! Congratulations you guys!!
