Emily & Jake’s Wrigley Mansion Wedding

The room grew quiet as each person walked out into the cool night, a cocktail in hand and laughter echoing behind them as the double doors closed. The music began on the dance floor, the light glistening off of her dazzling dress along with the sparkling disco balls that lined the stage. It was just the two of them on the dance floor, though the mirrors that surrounded them replicated their silhouettes a thousand times as he grabbed her hand and pulled her in close. They held each other and began to sway while the words filled the otherwise empty hall:

So won’t you give me tonight
And the rest of your life?
I wanna have it all with you…

They kissed and laughed as they took pause to reminisce on what they just experienced together, their wedding day. How could it be that it flew by faster than she could even catch her breath? Her eyes filled with tears that fell freely while they danced alone, sharing one final moment before the day was over, cherishing every last bittersweet minute with all they had in them. The day was an absolute dream, and it was real, and it was theirs to look back on forever. With their foreheads gently pressed together and their eyes closed, they relished in the buzz of newlywed bliss that surrounded their sticky steps on the wine-drenched floor. The song ended, but they lingered, holding each other all the tighter, never wanting it to end. Emily and Jake’s final dance was something I’ll never forget, and a memory that I can’t believe I was able to witness. Magic.

Their wedding day was no less enchanting, filled with ethereal florals and flowing dresses, gold accents and Spring elegance around every corner. And while the beauty was incredible, the most rewarding part of the day, for me, was being constantly surrounded by an effervescent group of friends and family whose kindness and support was everything. What an honor to be in the company of true love’s magic from every corner of their village. Emily and Jake, I’m so incredibly happy for you two, and I’m so blessed to have been a part of this day. And while you honeymoon in Greece, I know even those crystal blue waters dim in comparison to the fact that you’re married! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Stokes, may your days be filled with endless intimate dances and even more bottomless shoeies 😉
