They sat hand in hand, their chairs displaying the words “Mr.” and “Mrs.” on the back sides as the newlyweds smiled. String lights twinkled above them, illuminating the barn rafters all the way up to the ceiling, while candles flickered on the tables. Glasses clinked around them as they kissed while laughing because as soon as one glass stopped clinking, another would begin. They had become husband and wife just hours ago, and the day had flown by just as quickly as everyone warned them it would. They listened to their loved ones share words of excitement for their marriage, and wow, these two are loved! SO much that they had two best men and two maids of honor as a part of their wedding (and a puppy of honor)! As each person spoke, their eyes flooded with memories of Brooke and David, and it was so fun to live their love story through other’s words. There was laughter and happy tears, and through every speech they caught glimpses of each other, looking happier than they ever had before, their cheeks rosy from smiling so much that day. For some reason, of all the incredible moments of their wedding, these speeches were what I remember most. Not so much the words that were said, but the pure joy that was felt throughout the entire room, warming the inside of the barn on that chilly November night. Their best friends and close family were so happy for them, and it showed. Such a breath-taking thing to witness!
Brooke and David’s wedding day brought me back to my own in so many ways, mainly because mine was also in November! Their blush and navy vision was so romantic and gorgeous, and I wish I could go back and relive it! Not to mention they look like they belong on the cover of a bridal magazine…models! In all seriousness, these two have so much of my heart. Brooke and David, I know your marriage is going to be as beautiful as your wedding was. Keep yourself surrounded by those who love you and know your marriage will thrive, just like they did at that long table surrounded by candlelight. I’m so happy for you, and you two are so meant for each other! Congratulations to you booth, cheers!
