He couldn’t take his eyes off of her…
The pathway she walked down was lined with small white flowers and orange desert plants, her white dress train draped over the crook of her elbow as she took each slow step. He could hear her behind him, and he could feel her presence so close as he took a deep breath, both their hearts pounding with elated anticipation. She tapped him on the shoulder, he quickly turned to face her, and he audibly gasped as she opened her arms and laughed in excitement. It was the first time they were seeing each other on their wedding day, and from that moment forward, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He told her how beautiful she looked, but I think in his mind, words could never convey to her how true that was. He cupped her face in his hands so gently, as if she could break, and his face became so soft and genuinely awestruck. He just couldn’t believe how lucky he was, and I know she felt exactly the same way. Getting to experience those moments through my lens was a privilege that I will never forget.
Ashley and Brian’s wedding day was a Springtime-in-the-desert dream with yellow blooming wildflowers included. Her bridesmaids, dressed in their soft blush gowns, were stunning, and his guys, in classic black tuxes, were dapper. The fluffy white flowers and crystal candlelit centerpieces made my jaw drop, and the clear blue sky’s and greenery blanketing the desert floor made the perfect backdrop for the occasion. Not to mention the elegant bow on the back of her dress, complimenting a bride and groom meant for a magazine cover! And their reception, literally sparkled as the drinks bubbled and the laughter roared! Their dance floor was always full, and their surprise first dance as husband and wife was EPIC. I loved every minute of this day and every person involved, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for these two. Ashley and Brian, the best marriage advice I’ve ever heard is to marry your best friend, and it’s so evident that you both have done just that. You make each other laugh and bring each other so much joy, and that goes so far in this life you’re building together. Your love is so beautiful, and I can’t believe I got to be a small part of these memories. Congratulations to you both!
