“Am I getting something shiny?” she joked as he laughed it of, pretending that his heart wasn’t racing in his chest. They were enjoying dinner and decided to go on a walk along the waterfront to see Christmas lights and enjoy the crisp November evening. He could barely focus on anything else at dinner other than the “shiny” thing he was preparing to give her that night. As they walked along the water, the lights reflecting on its surface like glass, he got down on one knee. She gasped as her heart fluttered just as quickly as his, tears filling her eyes as she realized that she was going to get to spend the rest of her life with her best friend. Still in shock and overwhelmed with excitement, she called her family in the car with tears streaming down her face, she just couldn’t believe how happy she was. It was the perfect night, only to be trumped in the future by another…their wedding celebration!
I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Meghan and Trent; I just love these two so much! They are some of the absolute sweetest people I’ve ever met (with the bluest eyes) and I can’t wait for their wedding in January! Arizona Winters are the best, but add in gorgeous desert landscapes and a stunning couple and you get one happy photographer! Their Sedona engagement session was such a blast, and I’m so thankful that I get to work with these two. Even when I left my wallet at the hotel and they had to come get me and pay extra for my parking (the things getting no sleep does haha), they still had the biggest smiles on their faces. Walking through tall grass, avoiding spider webs and half naked tourists, we found the most gorgeous light and I was in heaven. I kept thinking that these two were such “photogenic laughers”, which is really difficult to be, so I kept trying anything to see those laughs! They were so contagious! I can’t wait to capture their joy on their wedding day, and watch their marriage grow over the years. Meghan and Trent, thank you so much for being so wonderful during a crazy day of a new mom trying to get her baby to sleep. I’m not going to lie, I was a little flustered that afternoon before your shoot, but the second I hugged you my anxieties melted away. I couldn’t be more grateful for that. You two have such a calming, kind affect on everyone you meet, and your marriage is going to thrive! And I can’t wait to see that happen, you two deserve the world!
