They rode horses while taking in the sight’s of one of Arizona’s most stunning destinations, Sedona. The red rocks and pine trees with cacti sprinkled randomly between provide the most perfect mix of the desert and mountains. They laughed with friends as they shared dinner near a scenic, golden field that dropped off to showcase the purple mountains in the distance. A friend who was there began snapping photos of the beautiful landscape, then they got up to take a photo together as she joked that he couldn’t take one without smiling. He wanted to prove her wrong, but little did she know that his heart was beating fast with excitement. He anxiously walked with her, and when the moment was perfect, he pulled out a small box and got down on one knee. Her hands shot up to cover her mouth as she gasped in astonishment, her cheeks rosy as her smile poured out through her eyes. He smiled and they held each other tight, knowing that this happiness will only grow as their story unfolds.
We found ourselves stepping through the mud and laughing as we tried not to slip in another golden field, where the sunset outlined everything it touched in a halo of yellow light. We explored and they embraced like they were the only two around, and I was shocked at how natural they are in front of the camera! You would think they had done photoshoots a million times before, and Gabe has the #groomgiggle down to a tee! I can’t wait to capture their wedding next month as they share their life-changing day in another Arizona gem, Flagstaff. It’s going to be chilly, cozy, and filled with more love than I can imagine. I can’t wait to wrap up in a blanket and witness this exciting time with these two, who have their love to keep them warm!
