“The timing was finally right.
Though it wasn’t what he’d expected, he just couldn’t wait any longer. With shaking hands, he opened the drawer of his nightstand and pulled out a small square box. They were at home, in the most relaxed environment with no one else around, though everywhere they go together feels like home… He got down on one knee as his heart pounded in his chest, and her eyes grew wide in surprise. “Meghan…Lawson” he started, as the nerves took over and he couldn’t remember her middle name. But it didn’t matter. It was perfect, and it was their own slice of Heaven as she excitedly said yes to being his wife. It’s a moment they will never forget, and one that began the next chapter in their romantic love story!”
I remember the first time I met Meghan and Erik, sitting in the sun-filled coffee shop and hearing this sweet story of how he asked her to be his wife. I loved how they acted together, so kind and enamored by the other in every way. But what I loved even more is how excited they were to be married! And throughout their entire engagement session, I grew to love their relationship even more, which I didn’t think was possible. And down the road, they were one of the couples that I had to call to let them know that our baby would be born so close to their big day and that I wasn’t guaranteed to be there, and it completely broke my heart. And their wedding happened to fall on my due date. Cue the tears. BUT, I was so incredibly blessed to have had them stick with me throughout everything, and trust me and my amazing associates to love them on their big day. And I think it was meant to be that baby girl decided not to come that day, because I got to surprise them and take their husband and wife portraits! My heart was so full as I walked up to them seeing as they looked so incredible, happy, and married! After big hugs we shot the dreamiest photos of this new chapter in their story, and I’m so thankful for those moments that I will never forget. Meghan and Erik, seeing your day through beautiful images had me smiling from ear to ear, and I just know it was simply incredible in person. I’m so excited for you and your floral, romantic vision could not have been more perfect! And this is jut the beginning to an even more beautiful marriage and new life together. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Arntz, marriage looks SO good on you!
