Max & Catie’s Burgundy Backyard Wedding

It was the first day of the new year.

She looked out across the water, a deep blue that mirrored the clear sky above. She sighed to herself contently, thinking nothing of their day trip to the lake, while his heart was beating fast in his chest. She turned around to see him kneeling, hands at her waist with a smile so big it made her heart flutter. The moment she realized just what was happening, her hands shot up to her face to cover her smile shat exuded to her eyes above her trembling hands. This was the moment that would change their lives forever, beginning 2016 in a more joyful way either of them could have ever imagined. Their sweet puppy ran up to them in their bliss and made the moment absolutely perfect. Talk about new beginnings.

Months later, we found ourselves in Catie’s parents’ backyard, where she had grown and made so many memories through the years. The place where we spent so many days in high school swimming, running around with her dogs, or practicing for choir concerts. It was so surreal to see Catie walk down the aisle in this same yard, smiling ear to ear while Max waited in anticipation for her to join him under their family-made altar. Every detail was meticulously crafted and planned, as they had awaited this day for so long, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The girls’ burgundy gowns contrasted beautifully against the guys’ deep blue suits, giving their Fall vision the prefect touch of color.  Sunflowers popped in the bouquets and decor, bringing the cloudy day a bright pop of yellow while twinkling lights sparkled above in the night sky. It was more wonderful than they could have ever imagined, and I was so elated to witness so many breath-taking moments throughout the day. Max & Catie, I’m so blessed to have been able to capture the most life-changing memories in your lives so far, and I can’t wait to watch your love thrive through the years! It’s been an unforgettable ride! #thehuntisover
