Courtney & Alexander’s Glowing Arizona Engagement

“I looked at you like the stars that shined
In the sky, the pretty lights.”
And our daddies used to joke about the two of us
Growing up and fallin’ in love
And our mamas smiled, and rolled their eyes
And said, “Oh, my, my, my…”

Their story is straight out of a love song, and one that couldn’t be more perfect for who Courtney and Alexander are. Genuinely in love. Their mom’s were best friends growing up, and they would always laugh and say that they would get married one day. They even have baby pictures together! And to their mothers’ delight, they are bringing their fairy-tale love story into fruition, tying the knot this year, and I am blessed enough to be able to witness it! Can you imagine their joy in calling their moms after her proposed on the dusty red cliffs of Sedona? And the happiness they will experience when the thousands of miles between them are closed in a single day, making the wait so worth it and their day that much more incredible?!

Courtney was visiting Arizona on her Spring Break from school in San Diego, so it was the perfect window for us to capture this exciting time in their lives. And these two were so sweet to witness, and the way they held one another was that of two people who have missed each other so much. They took advantage of every moment that they were close, and it was the sweetest littles gestures that made me smile. I can’t wait to capture more amazing moments as they bridge the gap of distance between them, and make a promise to each other in front of their parents, who’ve been dreaming of this day for years.
