Candise & Chris’ Sunny Saguaro Lake Engagement

The waves reflected a glass-like glow on the sand as foam bubbled up at their feet, their hearts content and excited for the next day. Who wouldn’t be, they were going to Disneyland! She thought she couldn’t feel any more elated than she did at that moment as she dug her hands into the powdery sand. She thought. Little did she know that as the salty ocean breeze swirled through her hair, his stomach was in his throat as he waited for the sun to start dipping lower and lower, and the minutes seemed to pass as if in slow motion, under water, until the moment was finally perfect. He took out the most beautiful ring she had ever seen (taking inspiration from her Pinterest board, so sweet) and bent down on one knee in the damp sand below. As he asked her the most important question she could ever answer, her mouth opened in shock and excitedly squealed, “Are you serious?!” He had to ask her a second time through laughter, and she couldn’t say yes fast enough. This was the moment she had dreamed of her entire life, and it was more wonderful than either of them could have imagined. But it gets better! They spent the next day at the Happiest Place on Earth celebrating their engagement, wearing coordinating shirts and “Happily Ever After” buttons. Chris, your timing was impeccable, bravo sir. 😉

Moving forward from September to January, we were walking toward the glowing pink and peach desert mountains (avoiding horse “presents” at every step) shooting their dreamy engagement photos. These two were so enamored with each other and natural to capture, and Chris has the groom giggle nailed down! Which is why I didn’t feel guilty having him ham it up for the camera! Not to mention Candise’s “smize” with her yellow-green eyes that would make Tyra Banks a proud mama! I had so much fun exploring and literally chasing the light with these two, who are simply my people. Not to mention dog people… I am so incredibly excited to be a part of this journey with these love birds, and their beautiful October wedding couldn’t get here soon enough! Congratulations you guys!!
