Alex & Janaye’s Soft Blush Desert Engagement

She looked down at her feet, carefully stepping over sand-dusted rocks on the Mexican beach, the smell of salt lingering on the breeze. With the sounds of the waves in front of her and that of Alex’s footsteps behind her, she almost didn’t see it, a small brown bottle tucked into the sharp rocks by her toes. She picked it up and turned it over in her hands, then gasped at what it’s contents held. It was a love letter, unlike any other, and it was written especially for her. A message in a bottle that only she was meant to discover. She read the heartfelt words and turned around to find Alex bended on one knee. With family there to witness, he asked Janaye to spend the the rest of their lives together, and that’s how we found ourselves in the golden Scottsdale desert for this blush engagement session! And what a dreamy session it turned out to be…

I am so truly blessed to work with the most genuine and kind couples, and Alex and Janaye are no exception. The way he looks at her brings a smile to my face every time, and I’ve never seen a #kkpgroom laugh more during our time together! He nailed the “pretty laugh” on the first try, a pose that takes a few tries for most brides to master! Such a ham Alex! And thank you Janaye for laughing at my repetetive “YES! WORK GIRL!” antics and for your stunning aqua-marine eyes! You made all my photographer dreams come true 😉 But in all seriousness, Alex and Janaye are such a beautiful couple inside and out, and I’m so excited to be shooting their wedding next year! If it’s anything like our time together now, I know it’s going to be an unforgettable experience. I really do believe that everything happens for a reason, like him moving here from Texas and meeting her at work, and me meeting them through a mutual #kkpbride.
