Samantha & Connor’s Gold Arizona Wedding

“They walked with their toes sinking in the white sand, the breeze blowing through her dark hair as their fingers laced together. They looked at each other and smiled catching one another’s gaze with their sweet puppy prancing in front of their feet. The Oregon seaside was especially beautiful that day; maybe it was because the billowed clouds and the green tree line that surrounded the beach, or maybe it was because they were seeing the world through rose colored lenses. Love does that people, in the best way possible. So you can imagine her excitement when he knelt on his knee and asked her to spend the rest of his life with him, clutching a beautiful diamond that slid on her finger as if it was made for her. They had never been happier, and their excitement only grew as they were greeted by anxiously awaiting family members at a nearby beach house. It was better than a dream, and one that they will never have to awaken from…”

Fast forward months later, and Connor is standing in a church in front of all the people who matter most to him, except one. She was standing right behind the two large wooden doors, a thin veil covering her face as she took a deep breath. The only sounds that could be heard were the beautiful melodies of the sting quartet that echoed around the marble walls and hung on the air seconds longer than if they were played anywhere else. The congregation stood up and turned to the back of the chapel as the doors slowly swung open. All eyes were on her, most of them blurred as they glassed over with joyful tears. Everyone gasped as they took in how beautiful Sam looked, but her eyes were only on his. He tried his hardest to hold back his emotions, but they escaped his eyes and rolled down his face as he smiled and let out a sigh; such a wonderful contradiction. And after what seemed like ages of her walking down the long aisle past the many wooden pews, their hands finally touched and every nervous feeling was washed away. This was the moment they had been waiting for, dreaming for, and praying for for months, and it was more perfect than they ever could have imaged.

The rest of the day was filled with such beautiful memories surrounded by family and friends, and they would have had it no other way. I have never seen more thought put into showing gratitude toward their loved ones than what was displayed at Connor and Sam’s reception. They even had personalized hand-written thank you’s on their guests’ favors, and during the speeches everyone in the room felt so touched. It was a sparkling night filled with champagne and red rose petals, and I couldn’t think of a more deserving couple of such an enchanting day. Connor and Sam, you are my people. You devote so much of yourselves to making others happy, and in turn you make each other happier than anyone ever could. I am so elated that you found one another, and that I was able to serve you during these exciting times! It’s been a blessing and a privilege, and I hope Bora Bora is treating you well! 😉 Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. White!
