James & Kylie’s Sage Spring Wedding

“There’s nothing quite like sharing a sweet kiss over a cup of coffee, especially when holding that cup of aromatic goodness gives you butterflies, and not just from the burst of caffeine. James and Kylie’s love story keeps reverting back to the same place, and it’s a place they can visit any time they wish to sip on some chocolatey delight, or simply remember the life-changing moments they’ve experienced with the smell of coffee grounds dancing through the air. Starbucks. They met there, he proposed outside of one, and that’s where I was introduced these two, changing my life and theirs forever. As Taylor Swift would say, these “Starbucks Lovers” take sentiment and romance to the next level!

When James made the unforgettable gesture of proposing, he guided Kylie through a thoughtful scavenger hunt, ending outside of their special place with his beloved dog, Loki, waiting for her. Since Loki is basically their child, around his neck was a teal decorated sign, asking Kylie to officially be his mom… I know. So cute!”

The dog lover in me was so excited when I heard that James and Kylie were bringing their pup to their engagement shoot! Months later, during their wedding ceremony, we laughed as a big white dog wandered around the space, as he had somehow gotten inside the gate. I tried to convince them that they attracted dogs to them, even on their wedding day, and we laughed and walked around as golden light poured through the green leaves. To say I am in love with their love is an understatement, and I was just as much in love with their gorgeous wedding! Their sage and gold color palette was enough to make my heart flutter, but her tulle gown had me smiling from the moment she slipped it on. And what a sweet moment that was. After she had read through tears a beautiful letter that James had written her, her girls gathered around in their soft green dresses and we smiled while they attempted to lace up the intricate ribbon. It really does take an army to put on a wedding dress…

After an incredible day that flew by as fast as it came, we found ourselves sighing as they swayed slowly to the music, sharing their first dance as a married couple. The music began to skip, and everyone looked around, not quite knowing how to react to the mishap. Suddenly, James and Kylie broke into a choreographed routine and had everyone roaring with laughter as the owned the dance floor. James, I have to say, you have some serious moves, and Kylie, you’re a rockstar. 🙂 I have honestly never laughed so much, and it took everything inside me not to bust a move with everyone at the celebration! I just love these two and the way he makes her smile so big and hug him so tight. I know they will never stop making each other blush and giggle, and their love will continue to grow, as will their laugh lines. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Barber!
