They turned to face everyone who mattered the most to them in the world. Her dad stood behind them with the communion he’d prepared as everyone shuffled out of their seats to partake in this beautiful symbolism. Not only was this a special moment for Courtney and Alex, but a moment to look everyone in the eyes who attended their wedding just moments before they sealed their union with a kiss. His parents stood to his left, and hers to their right, so excited to become one family. And the story that makes my heart sing: His parents were the best man and maid of honor at her parents’ wedding! At the time, Alex’s mom was pregnant with him, not knowing that one day her would marry the daughter of her best friend. They even have baby pictures together, eek! When I first heard this straight-out-of-a-movie love story, my jaw was on the floor. These kind of things just don’t happen in real life, so when they do, it’s just a little extra magical!
Courtney & Alex’s neutral wedding incorporated dusty blues, soft champagnes, and fluffy ivory flowers that emulated a romantic feel of tranquility throughout the entire day. The flowy blue bridesmaid dresses mixed with the sandy groomsmen suites tied in their color story perfectly and accentuated the summer vibe so effortlessly. And we need to talk about how these two were absolute rockstars when it came to our toasty Arizona weather! It was 114 degrees this day, and you would never know from looking at their sweet smiles! They were so relaxed and willing to do anything for their perfect shots, and I was so thankful to work with them! Guests enjoyed delicious popsicles to beat the heat as we shot their portraits while trickling into their classic reception space. White linens with gold vases and ivory florals that cascaded down above romantic flickering candles gave a relaxed yet dreamy ambiance to celebrate their love. The night carried on with laughter and dancing, followed by dazzling fireworks set to Disney music (a girl after my own heart)! They ended with a glittering sparkler exit as they headed off to their Disney cruise, wearing their bride and groom Mickey ears while they hopped into their getaway car. It was the most perfect day, and such a wonderful way for me to end this busy season! These two have the most beautiful story with an even more beautiful love, and I was so blessed to be able to be a part of this experience. Congratulations Alex and Courtney, may your fairy tale live on into your happily ever after!
