They held their sparkling champagne glasses in front of them, nestled closely together on the loveseat, the room hushed as all eyes were focused on her father. He toasted to his little girl and made jokes and wiped tears as everyone around sighed with happiness. Then, as the best man and matron of honor made their touching speeches leaving no dry eye in the room, more of their bridal party got up to speak their well-wishes to the newlyweds, and I realized two things: Chris and Taylor are so loved, and Chris and Taylor saved each other. With a lump in my throat I listened to the fourth person speak about how Taylor brought Chris out of one of his darkest places, and how he brought her back to life. These two people who met by fate needed each other more than they could have even known, and their union formed a new start that they “didn’t need, but deserved.” And to start their new beginning, Chris and Taylor both changed their last names on that day to match that of his Grandfather’s. So when his grandfather got up to speak, you can imagine the emotion and love that everyone in the room was experiencing, followed by a roar of cheering and celebration that couldn’t be matched. It was enchanting to witness, and I’m so blessed that I was able to!
Chris & Taylor’s entire day was one of the most joyful, relaxing (and on time!) weddings that I’ve even been a part of! I was so lucky to be in their inner circle for a second time this year, having captured her sister Cassie’s wedding just three short months ago. I was so incredibly grateful to be a part of such an important day for this amazing family twice, and it’s an experience I will never forget. And I just loved Chris & Taylor’s Christmas vision, bringing to life my absolute favorite time of the year! Deep blues, holly reds, and sparkling evergreens dazzled their guests and made for a cozy winter ambiance straight from a dream! There is nothing more beautiful to be than this joyful time of year and a breath-taking love story to cap off the season. Chris and Taylor, I could not be more thrilled that you two have found each other. You are so meant for each other and together you emulate joy and affection that is wonderfully contagious. So let’s ring the bells as you start your new chapter of life under the mistletoe, adding another reason to celebrate this season. You’ve given each other a gift greater than what could ever be found under the tree! Cheers to you and a happy new year!
